it's canberra time!!

Why the hell is it doing like that?????

About a month ago, my sister and I booked tickets to Canberra to renew her Malaysian passport. Our one day trip supposed to be enjoyable; however, it turned badly due to the extremely unacceptable flight delay.

Upon arrival at arrival, we took the ticket number and sat while waited for our names to be called. Note that the ticket number wasn’t a machine type. It was indeed a very obsolete type nobody will ever use this. The ticket number was simply written largely on a small cardboard paper. Before this, my sister was looking for a machine like what you saw in many banks.

The deserted look at the embassy

It took around 6 hours to process the new passport. Hence, we walked out of the embassy, hoping to catch a cab there. Luckily, a guy from Sydney offered us a ride back to parliament house just 10 minutes from the embassy. We just spent 15 minutes there taking photos while waiting for the bus to come to take us to the city.

Compared with Melbourne, it wasn’t a true city to be. The city seemed very quiet and I felt as if I was floating in a dream (Slept late, woke up early). It looked like a ‘dead city’. Gosh!

We had lunch at Canberra Centre, and then shopped.

Almost everyone talked softly there. The city wasn’t really as busy as Melbourne. It’s such a great place to relax. The green trees and the huge land Canberra has makes the city looks really empty and should get more room for improvement. But it was really nice to have a cup of coffee there .. :)

Anyway, at 3pm, we took cab and headed back to the embassy when we met another young lad from Brisbane. At that point of time, I realised that Malaysians aren’t that bad as I thought as we were offered for another ride back to the city by another car. It’s sweet, isn’t it?

Before we get into the flight, 3 of us visited the Shrine of Remembrance.

The closing ceremony was just a 5 min play by a man blowing trumpet when we expected it to be either 20 minutes performance or what. Sweat..

We were already sooooo tired when we reached home that I was over tired and couldn’t sleep well that night.
